Queen Anne’s County Recognizes Economic Development Week

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners have proclaimed September 28 through October 2, 2026, as Economic Development Week, recognizing the important role economic development plays in supporting businesses, creating jobs and strengthening communities.

Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development is an active member of the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA), which works to strengthen Maryland’s economy through professional development, partnerships, networking and collaboration among economic development professionals. 

Economic development professionals work behind the scenes every day to help create, retain and expand jobs, encourage investment, support a stable tax base and improve the quality of life in their communities. The proclamation also recognizes Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development as an important part of Maryland’s overall economic success.
